Changing the Screen Resolution (Before Login)

Useful When having a monitor which cannot handle the given refresh rate for example.

Using SDDM (Display Manager)

Modify X Setup File

Add the /usr/bin/xrandr commands to add and set a new mode.

/usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup

Modify X Stop File

Add the /usr/bin/xrandr commands to set the needed mode again after the user logs out.

/usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xstop
