Installing the Google Chrome Browser

Installing the package will also install a source list entry which will automatically update the package to a new version with the rest of the systems updates.

Download Package (Debian)

Download using wget.

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

Install the package.

dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

Solution with a Sources-file

Add a source-list file google-chrome.sources to the directory /etc/apt/sources.list.d/.
