UT System Setups

General

There is probably exists an ADC that resides outside the computer. The Socomate solution at the time was that we had an internal PCI card. For Lufthansa we only had a Windows 98 driver for the PCI card so we had 2 computers. One Windows NT and the other Windows 98 used as a black box controlled by the Windows NT computer.

The zero pulse, is the pulse used to calibrate the position of the turn table and to tell the UT instrument when a new circle has started. So that signal has to be long enough to be picked up by the digitizer. The measurement density circle line is determined by:

• The divider and have a measurement per angle in degrees.
• The variable velocity and get the density per distance in meters.
